A year later and another IPMS Scale Model World Show in Telford.
I've already done a blog on this great show so I will make this more of a gallery. So read on for pictures of highly detailed models from different themes such as planes, cars, scifi, military and more.
So let's jump right in
I really love this build, there are some amazingly detailed dioramas in the show but this small build caught my eye. I think it's a genius idea.
So lets start this blog/gallery with a few more military themed builds.
some of these models deserve multiple angles to really appreciate the details.
We are just a few pictures in and already I can see this becoming a very big blog. Especially if I keep using multiple shots like the next stunning build.
Just think of the work and passion that has been poured into this build.
You have to admire the attention to the tiny details in this diorama. The algae at the base of the dock and the woman holding her hat in the wind.
Yeah...I think this blog is going to be a very big collection of pictures.
What do you think? keep going with lot's of pics and just spill out into a 2nd blog?
Ok, so we agree, multiple blogs it is. We can't just have a small blog with a handful of pics when we have this level of quality.
Let's bounce between themes and show something a little different.
I think we have stumbled onto a model builders den. Notice the plastic models and those biscuits are fresh. Definitely modellers around.
Just remember not to touch the models as you will leave your scent on them (or break them) and the modellers wont return to them.
Wouldn't be a trip to Telford without seeing one of the judges.
A quick shout out to this table. Models For Heroes. A very good cause.
Lets go military again with some aircraft models.
If you like yourself a bit of scifi and fantasy in your models the Telford show does not disappoint.
How about a bit of Star Wars?
I do tend to gravitate towards scifi themed stuff, so this is just a little taste of more to come.
Its not all military and scifi though. This show can really mix it up and surprise you, even on your third visit.
"tis but a scratch"
I didn't expect to see a Monty Python model. Then I came across an even more unexpected model.
All these different models combine to form a varied show.
Aircraft time again with 2 of the more stranger looking aircraft.
Above, the Heinkel He 111z-1 Zwilling and below the XB-70 Valkyrie.
From 2 very distinctive aircraft, to a table full of a well know aviation icon.
If you like yourself a Spitfire, then you will not be disappointed at this show.
Let's move to a table with a little variety.
No strict theme here. I see Harriers, a Corsair, War of the Worlds, The Bluebird and just look at that AC Cobra at the back. That deserves a close up.
A great looking car.
I think I need to get my geek on next with a table right up my street.
Nerd factor 9 with all the spacecraft on show here. Star Trek, Star Wars, Buck Rogers, Space 1999 and V.
One of the Visitors at the Model Show.
Or how about a battle damaged Enterprise.
From spaceships we move and look at some monsters.
After nerding out with spaceships and monsters, lets have a little change of pace.
Some interesting models to look at before we go to a very detailed recreation of A Concorde Fatigue and Pressure Stress Test facility.
I keep finding really interesting model build ideas every time I go.
From Concorde Stress testing to a tractor.
Then from a tractor model to a table full of Tornado's.
This is getting a bit long and I am about half way through the pictures I picked from my phone to share. So lets's have a few more and stop at point that's easy for me to remember in my Telford Model Show highlights Folder.
Maybe follow those detailed military models with a few wide shots of tables to give you a better idea of how the models are displayed.
Now we have reached a point in my folder of pictures that is about half way with a distinctive model. So I should be able to continue were we left off.
Again, I love the attention to detail.
Right, lets's call it there. So if I forget or anyone else asks you, you are up to the red tow truck of Joe's Towing.
So I will meet you again the other side of the red truck in the next part of this blog.
