This is a 1/350 scale model kit of the U.S.S. Grissom that featured in the 3rd Star Trek movie The Search for Spock.
The Grissom is the science vessel that is dispatched to study the Genesis planet. While in orbit they discover the torpedo that contained the body of Spock.
Although it has less screen time than other ships, thanks to its key role in the story and it's distinctive design, the U.S.S. Grissom has become a classic Federation vessel in the Star Trek franchise.
If you set your phasers to glue you can use this kit to build a model of a unique looking starship that features in a classic scifi movie.
