This is a 1/18 scale diecast model of a 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am with the iconic gold Firebird.
The 2nd generation Pontiac Firebird was made famous in the Smokey and the Bandit movies. Although the car Burt Reynolds drove in the movie was a 1977 and this model is of the 1978 version.
They may be a year apart but this model recreates the iconic colour scheme used in the movie. The black finish with the gold Firebird on the bonnet or hood for our American friends.
So why not add a model of what is (for licensing reasons) not the Smokey and the Bandit car, but lets all be honest, it's close enough.
Then someone at Bowfell will say "that's a 10-4 good buddy" before carefully packing your model for delivery. All with no smokeys on our tale.
