A Hasegawa 1/48 scale plastic model kit of the formidable AH-64 Apache Longbow.
Along with a nose mounted sensor suite, night vision and significant system redundancies, the Apache is armed with a 30mm chain gun and four hard points for carrying missiles and rockets. This makes for a helicopter that can see in the dark and is armed to the teeth.
The AH-64 was first developed by Hughes Helicopters for the United States Army Advanced Attack Helicopter program to replace the AH-1 Cobra. McDonnell Douglas bought Hughes Helicopters and continued development of the Apache. The AH-64 entered service in 1986 and has remained the primary attack helicopter of the United States and multiple other nations around the world.
