This is a Limited Edition model kit that allows you to build two P-51 Mustangs flown by the famous Red Tails. The kit contains 12 different marking options so you can build multiple aircraft used by the Tuskegee Airmen
The Tuskegee Airmen were a group of primarily African American military pilots and airmen who fought in the Second World War. Due to the American military being segregated until 1948, war planners generally placed white and African-American personnel in separate units.
One such unit was 332d Fighter Group that was also known as the Tuskegee Airmen because most trained at Tuskegee Airfield. Although met with a lot of resistance from members of the American Military, 332d Fighter Group became a highly successful and elite fighter group.
This kit allows you to build two P-51 Mustangs used by 332d Fighter Group. You can choose from multiple different markings including the famous Red Tails.
The P51 Mustang is a long range single seat fighter/ fighter bomber from World War II. The North American Mustang was designed as a long range fighter and was able to escort the bombers from England to Germany and back again.
The P-51 Mustang was one of the fastest and most successful fighters of the Second world War.
