This is the latest 1/48 scale model kit of a Hawker Hunter from Airfix. The kit features new parts for 2023.
The Hawker Hunter is a jet fighter aircraft developed by Hawker Aircraft for the RAF. In 1953 the first prototype broke the aircraft world air speed record with a speed of 727.63 mph.
The Hunter entered service with the RAF in 1954 and had a long career. The Hunter remained in service with the RAF and Royal Navy until the early 90's, and was still being used by the Lebanese Airforce until 2014.
So if you want to build a model of a long serving jet aircraft, the Hawker Hunter with its 60 year career has to be on your list.
