The new version of the 1/72 scale Boeing Chinook HC.1 model kit from Airfix.
This "Late" kit is basically the same model as the previous Chinook kit from Airfix, It's just been updated with some new decal schemes. So I think I can be lazy and reuse the same description below.
The CH-47 Chinook is an American twin-engined, tandem rotor, heavy-lift helicopter developed by Vertol and manufactured by Boeing Vertol. The Chinook is among the heaviest lifting western helicopters and takes its name from the Native American Chinook people of Washington Sate.
This model is of the RAF HC.1 variant of the Chinook. The RAF Chinook fleet is the largest outside of America and provides heavy lift support and transport across all branches of the British Armed Forces.
The Chinook is expected to stay in service with the RAF until the 2040's. Not bad for a helicopter that started production in the 1960's
