The A-10 Thunderbolt also know as the "Warthog" was developed by Fairchild Republic for the United States Airforce and entered service in 1976. The A-10 is a formidable aircraft with its 30mm GAU-8 autocannon that fires depleted uranium armour piercing shells. The Warthog is also a survivor with it's titanium armour around the cockpit and aircraft systems enabling it to absorb a significant amount of damage and continue flying.
This particular model is of the A-10C variant that was an upgrade to the A-10 in 2005.
