The Rover 90 was produced between 1953 and 1959, during which time nearly 36,000 were sold worldwide. Classed as a top-end vehicle, it had a powerful 2.6 litre engine with a top speed of 90 mph. Modifications over its predecessors included a bigger boot, wide rear windows and flashing indicators. The Rover 90 claimed cult status in the 1980s, notably in France, where they were in particular demand by classic car enthusiasts.
