Most of us have experienced long waiting times for planes at some point in our lives. That sinking feeling when you see the board in the airport switch over to Delayed. For a lot of modellers out there they have been waiting a long time for a certain plane that was delayed with no eta for quite some time.
Well the wait is over folks, the Airfix 1/48 scale model kit of the Blackburn Buccaneer has finally arrived and its a beauty.
It was a long wait but this big beast of a Buccaneer model has been given permission to land at Bowfell Models. It was a long wait but at least we didn't have to pay £10 for a sausage roll, wonder around the same 5 shops over and over and then sit and wonder why you only seem to see WHSmith shops in airports and hospitals now.
Along with the extra level of detail and improved tooling, this model is a big unit. If you have the space and the patience you will end up with a detailed 1/48 scale model of this famous jet.
If you are reading this and thinking I do like the Buccaneer but this might be a bit big for my shelf, you can always go for one of the two long running 1/72 scale versions of the Buccaneer. The 1/72 Buccaneer S.2C or the 1/72 Buccaneer S.2B Not as big or as detailed but still lovely little model kits.
